RAF Pacifica to Build New Distribution Center in Carlsbad

RAF Pacifica has plans for a number of development opportunities across the San Diego metro.

San Diego– A new state-of-the-art distribution center is set to be developed in the Carlsbad submarket following RAF Pacifica Group’s latest land acquisition. The company acquired a plot of land within the Carlsbad Raceway Business Park. The developer paid HG Fenton a total of $15 million for the entitled land parcel.

Cushman and Wakefield representatives Dennis Visser and Aric Starck worked on behalf of both parties during the transaction. Following a slew of land acquisitions, RAF is gearing up for increased development activity in the San Diego metro area. Groundbreaking at the new project in Carlsbad Raceway Business Park is slated for the first quarter of 2017, while completion is set for the end of that year.

The 18.4-acre parcel is set to house a two new distribution buildings that will offer a total of 272,430 square feet of space. Known as “dis•trib•ute”, the development will feature the possibility to be divided down to 10,000 square feet, allowing it to mold to the needs of various businesses. The facility will offer glass exteriors, updated ESFR sprinkler systems, 30’ clear height ceilings, as well as high-dock loading doors.

According to RAF Pacifica Group Principal Adam Robinson, the company is looking to become one of the premier developers in San Diego, using its expertise to build other facilities in the metro.
