Dallas—Cushman & Wakefield has secured a headquarters lease for Brinker International Inc. within the Cypress Waters development in Dallas. The facility that will house Brinker is expected to be completed in late 2018.

“Our move to Cypress Waters allows us to build and custom-design a new campus that provides an inspiring and collaborative environment for our ‘BrinkerHeads,’” Wyman Roberts, CEO & president of Brinker, said in a prepared statement.

The casual dining restaurant company will occupy a 216,300-square-foot, four-story, custom build-to-suit building within The Sound, an 1,000-acre Billingsley Co. development that includes multifamily, retail and office space. The relocation will enable Brinker to support teamwork as the company will go from occupying separate buildings to having all employees under one roof. More than 500 team members will be transferred to the new headquarters that also includes a state-of-the-art test kitchen. Brinker will join the development’s tenant roster including 7-Eleven, CoreLogic, OneSource, Toyota Finance, and BT Americas.

“We have had unprecedented interest in Cypress Waters. This particular building will not only have amazing lake views, but also prime visibility from Olympus Road, which will eventually become a major thoroughfare connecting Belt Line Road to LBJ Freeway,” Marijke Lantz, senior vice president of investments and build-to-suits with Billingsley, said in a prepared statement.

Rick Hughes, executive managing director, Maureen Kelly Cooper, senior managing director, and Robbie Baty, senior director with Cushman & Wakefield, represented Brinker International in the leasing negotiations. Cushman & Wakefield selected Cypress Waters for its extensive base of amenities after a comprehensive search from the northern suburbs to downtown Dallas.
