Twinwood—a 650-acre industrial park in Houston dedicated to research, development, distribution and light manufacturing—has secured a lease for MAN Diesel & Turbo’s new headquarters.

MAN Diesel & Turbo’s new headquarters will feature 105,309 square feet of air-conditioned service shop space and 32,125 square feet of office space. The company offers a wide range of process turbomachinery, including compressors, steam turbines, expanders and gas turbines for oil and gas, chemical processing and general industrial applications. Construction is expected to start in the second quarter of 2018, and the development is slated to accommodate more than 140 employees. Twinwood is part of a 14,000-acre master-planned mixed-use project owned by Putera Sampoerna and designed by Houston-based KDW and Welcome Group.

“Our goal has been to bring our two Houston-area operations under one roof,” said Tony Ruegger, managing director of MAN Diesel & Turbo, in a prepared statement. “We’re certainly looking forward to expanding our equipment servicing capabilities in Twinwood.”

Avison Young Principal Bob Berry and Associate Jacob Bravo represented MAN Diesel & Turbo in the lease negotiations, while Welcome Realty Advisors represented Welcome Group. Hancock Whitney Bank Senior Vice President Katie Sandoval, Vince Yokomof and Trey Duhon provided acquisition and construction financing.

Interstate 10, Woods Road and Farm to Market 1489 are all easily accessible from the property.
