Accelerated Schools Opens LA’s First Dual Language Campus
The Spanish/English school, dubbed The Accelerated Charter Elementary School, includes 100,000 square feet of new school improvements, as well as 19,000 square feet of play and outdoor teaching space and more than 11,000 square feet for a multipurpose room.

Accelerated Charter Elementary School
The Accelerated Schools, a pre-K to 12th grade network of public charter schools in South Los Angeles, opened its new $37 million campus for dual language.
The Spanish/English school, dubbed The Accelerated Charter Elementary School (ACES) is located at the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Main Street.Â
The property includes 100,000 square feet of new school improvements, 19,000 square feet of play and outdoor teaching space and 11,569 square feet for a multipurpose room, cafeteria and lunch shelter space. ACES is a green school and is set to become LEED Silver certified. The Gomez & Gomez Dual Language Enrichment model used for the dual language program is the only one in Los Angeles.Â
Construction financing was provided by the Los Angeles philanthropic and corporate communities, the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and the State of California through Proposition 55.Â
