A joint venture between The Opus Group and Diamond Realty Investments Inc. started construction work on a speculative industrial development in Greenwood, Ind. Greenpointe Logistics Center, a 495,977-square-foot facility, is slated for completion in late spring 2018.

With a strong labor force in the area, this building will meet the growing demand for space, while satisfying both employees and tenants with a centrally located, modern industrial facility,” said Douglas Swain, vice president of real estate development at Opus, in prepared remarks.

Greenpointe Logistics Center, located east of Interstate 65, on a 31-acre lot, will have a flexible structure with two entrances off Graham Road. Designed to accommodate one or two tenants, the cross-dock facility is expected to feature 36-foot clear heights and an ample parking lot, among other amenities.

Opus Development Co. is the developer, Opus Design Build serves as design-builder and Opus AE Group is the project’s architect and structural engineer of record. The same team has worked on constructions totaling more than 7.4 million square feet of industrial space during the past 24 months, across the country. Cushman & Wakefield Senior Managing Director Luke Wessel will lead the marketing and leasing efforts once the property is complete.
