OPRS Breaks Ground on $30M Addition to Seniors Community
Westminster-Thurber, one of 11 retirement communities owned and managed by the Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services, has been serving Central Ohio for the last 48 years. Now, the community plans to expand with a new high-rise, its second just north of Downtown Columbus. It held a ground breaking ceremony for the project on December 4, on the Westminster-Thurber Community Campus, at 717 Neil Avenue.

one of 11 retirement communities owned and managed by Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services, has been serving Central Ohio for the last 48 years. Now, Westminster-Thurber plans a $30 million addition just north of Downtown Columbus. OPRS broke ground for the project Dec. 4 at 717 Neil Ave.
Residents can choose from eight different floor plans for one- and two-bedroom units. Ranging in size from 1,140 to 2,000 square feet, the apartments will feature open layouts, four-season sun rooms, balconies, fully equipped kitchens, individually controlled heating and air conditioning and laundry facilities.
Community amenities include concierge services, a heated underground garage, a community center and a rooftop terrace. An indoor walkway will link Goodale Landing to the existing campus. Also on tap are a new indoor heated pool and a new dining venue.
Monthly rents at Goodale Landing will start from $2,450, with an entrance fee of $175,000. Only six of the 68 units are unreserved, OPRS Communities said in a statement.
