With the opening date set for September 2011, Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Brickell-Downtown has begun wrapping up the final details by appointing two new members to the hotel’s senior staff. Eduardo Chapoval, appointed general manager, will be in charge of directing all areas of hotel operations, from guest services to sales and marketing and administrative issues. Until now, Chapoval held the same position at the 149-room Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Airport South/Blue Lagoon, which was the “#1 Miami Hotel” for three consecutive years, according to Triadvisor.com.

Lourdes Beach, appointed director of sales, comes from the same Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Airport South/Blue Lagoon and was credited with the hotel’s revenue-based success; Lourdes will be in charge of revenue production and responsible for managing all areas of the new hotel’s marketing and sales plans.

The new 15-story Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Brickell-Downtown will feature a modern, upscale interior design, with an amenity package that includes a rooftop pool, a full-service bar and an exercise room. In addition to the 221 hotel rooms, the Hampton Inn & Suites also features 10,000 square feet of street-level retail space, 3,500 square-feet of meeting space and a 210-space parking garage.

Developed by Hospitality Operations Inc., the Hampton Inn & Suites has hired John Moriarty & Associates of Florida as general contractor and Israel Bigelman as the building’s architect. The project is registered for LEED Silver certification and is equipped with a 35,000-gallon cistern to collect rainwater for irrigation purposes, low-flow water fixtures, charging stations for electric cars, and an Ozone laundry system designed to reduce the consumption of water, energy and chemicals.

Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Brickell-Downtown is located in Miami’s Brickell Financial District, which is within walking distance to an array of shops, restaurants and office towers, but it has been adapted to the area’s need for mid-range lodging options.
