The developer broke ground in 2023, estimating construction costs at $500 million.

Novva Data Centers has completed its 60-megawatt data center in Storey County, Nev. The campus, dubbed as Novva Tahoe Reno, is the company’s fourth facility nationwide.

The 300,000-square-foot data center is at 3399 Peru Drive in Sparks, Nev. on a 20-acre site, along Interstate 80. Novva Tahoe Reno is close to multiple tech firms within the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center, a 107,000-acre, master-planned campus that is home to Tesla’s Gigafactory 1 and Google.
The property has a 100-megawatt on-site substation, with power provided by NV Energy. Features include water-free and direct-to-chip cooling systems, low-latency connection to the San Francisco Bay Area. Amenities include meeting rooms, offices, storage spaces and breakrooms, as well as a conference room, multiple shower facilities, a lounge space, an on-site café and an arcade area.
Novva’s 1-gigawatt pipeline
Novva Data Centers’ existing campuses are in Colorado Springs, Colo., West Jordan, Utah, and North Las Vegas, Nev. The company commenced construction on its first Nevada facility in 2022, after it paid $45 million for the former industrial property, converting it to a 100-megawatt data center.
The company has four other ongoing developments in the country, set to provide more than 1 gigawatts of power. One of them is Novva’s second campus in Utah, a 1 million-square-foot, 175-megawatt project in West Jordan. Earlier in March, the company, in partnership with CIM Group, secured $2 billion in financing for the second and third phases.
Last year, Novva entered Arizona with a 300-megawatt, 160-acre development. The company plans to invest more than $3 billion into the 1.3 million-square-foot, five-building project over the next decade. The first phase is slated to be delivered next year.
