NKF Adds New Director in NYC

Matt Duthie stepped up as the firm’s regional director of property management overseeing the New York metro region, leaving behind his tenure at JLL.

Newmark Knight Frank has selected Matt Duthie as its newest regional director of property management services in the New York metro area. Duthie will work closely with the company’s leasing and investment sales market leaders, overseeing business development, operations, integrating service lines and strategic staff recruitment. He will also be responsible for business development to maximize market share and profitability for the region.

Industry veteran

Duthie’s career spans 32 years of commercial real estate, having previously served as a managing director at JLL, where he oversaw a 15 million-square-foot office portfolio. Previously, he was an executive vice president of property management at Ruben Cos., as well as senior vice president and co-director of Reckson Associates’ Manhattan division.

Duthie holds a BA in environmental science from Queens College at the City University of New York and a BA in civil engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York, in addition to an MBA in real estate from New York University. Duthie is a member and former chairman of the board of directors for the Real Estate Board of New York, vice president and member of the board of directors for the New York Energy Consumer Council and officer and board member for Building Owners and Managers Association.

NKF recently appointed a new senior managing director and market leader for the firm’s Valuation & Advisory Group practice in Northern California.
