Denver—The 50-key Ramble Hotel is set to open in late 2017 in Denver’s bustling River North (RiNo) neighborhood.

The independently owned, three-story hotel will feature flexible meeting space, retail space, an outdoor courtyard, intimate theatre and bar, and a Death & Co marquee lobby bar. The bar will mark Death & Co’s first venture outside of its original location in New York City’s East Village, which opened in 2006.

“We’ve long thought about growing Death & Co but have been understandably careful to do so,” David Kaplan, co-founder of Death & Co, said in a statement. “I do believe the Death & Co DNA can be expanded to a host of different spaces and experiences, and with Death & Co at The Ramble we’ll be able to show that. The property is very dynamic and Gravitas (Development Group) shares our passion for hospitality and an obsession for the details.”

Death & Co will operate the lobby bar, the hotel’s beverage-forward room service program, a café bar providing coffee and breakfast, a reservation-only private bar and the good and beverage program within the outdoor courtyard.

Located at 2450 Larimer St., The Ramble Hotel is one of the first hotels to open in the RiNo neighborhood. The asset is developed by Gravitas Development Group, designed by Los Angeles-based Avenue Interior Design, while Johnson Nathan Strohe will serve as architect of record. The hotel takes inspiration from 17th Century French salons, with the name of the property being a nod to Catherine de Vivonne, Marquise de Rambouillet, a famous salon host known for her egalitarian gatherings.
