A dual-branded, 18-story hotel will bring 495 guest rooms to the heart of Denver’s central business district.
Construction has recently begun on a dual-branded AC Hotel by Marriott and Le Méridien hotel at 15th Street and California in downtown Denver. Scheduled to open in the summer of 2017, the new hotel will be located just one block from the Colorado Convention Center and moments away from the city’s 16th Street entertainment district and Colorado’s state capital complex. The hotel will also benefit from its proximity to the LoDo Historic District, the Denver Performing Arts Complex, Pepsi Center, Coors Field, and Sport Authority Field at Mile High—the home of the NFL’s Denver Broncos.
“We are thrilled to be bringing two newly constructed unique hotels to the heart of downtown,” Deno Yiankes, White Lodging president & CEO of investments and development, said in a statement. “Denver’s awesome climate and infrastructure continues to attract quality residential and employment growth and we expect this trend to continue into the foreseeable future.”
Each hotel will have its own entry, lobby, and bar-led food and beverage outlet. Le Méridien, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, will feature 272 upscale guestrooms, a full-service restaurant, 24-hour fitness center, business center, and more than 8,000 square feet of banquet and meeting space. The hotel will be managed by White Lodging Services Corp.
The 223-key AC Hotels Denver will be the brand’s first location in the Mile-High City. The brand originated in 2011 as a joint venture with Spanish hotelier Antonio Catalan, and currently offers a portfolio of 77 hotels across Europe. AC Hotels plans to open more than 80 new properties in the U.S. and Latin America.
