Marcus & Millichap Hires Manager for Montreal Office

Marcus & Millichap has found a regional manager to lead its recently opened office in Montreal. Thierry Lessoil, who has more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate investment sales and management, has left a managing director position with Sun Life Investment Management to join the company. In his new role, he will help expand the Marcus & Millichap brand in Canada and grow the company’s property marketing platform.  

“Thierry’s expertise as an organizational leader and his real estate investment experience and deep knowledge of the greater Montreal region make him a strong fit to support the expansion of our platform in Canada,” J.D. Parker, senior vice president & Northeastern division manager with the company, said in a prepared statement.  

A McGill graduate, the newly appointed Marcus & Millichap manager has arranged transactions involving all types of properties including office, industrial, retail and multifamily in Montreal, Ottawa and Halifax. He will be working together with the founders of McGill Commercial, Mickael Chaput and Michael Dermer, as well as investment professionals Naomi Faraj, Louis Hoppenheim and Phillipe Marcotte.
