Economy Watch: Apartment Market Still Robust; Leading Indicators Drop; Unemployment Rises
The apartment market is in great shape across the board; all four indexes came in above 50, which indicates improving conditions. The Leading Economic Index for the U.S. dropped 0.1 percent in March to 94.7. And initial unemployment claims were 352,000, an increase of 4,000 from the previous week’s revised figure of 348,000.
