Plans for a hotel and luxury condo project on West 57th Street in Manhattan are moving forward now that a joint venture led by JDS Development Group and Property Markets Group has acquired Steinway Hall at 109-113 West 57th St.

Cielo Realty Partners has purchased Neuhaus Tower, a 17-story, 243,000-square-foot office tower in McAllen, Texas, from an affiliate of Brookfield Asset Management for an undisclosed amount.
Economy Watch: Homebuilders Optimistic; CPI, Industrial Production Up
According to the National Association of Homebuilders, its housing market rose six points over the last month to a score of 57 for July, the highest reading since January 2006. The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers increased 0.5 percent in June. And industrial production increased 0.3 percent in June after having been unchanged in May, pointing to the continued health of the domestic manufacturing sector.

The new acquisition was built in 2002-2003 and is part of the Northwest submarket of San Antonio. It encompasses 118,769 square feet that form the two-building business park located between Loop 410 and Loop 1604, near Interstate 10.
