Kidder Mathews Adds Silicon Valley SVP

Derik Benson has 25 years of experience in commercial real estate and has completed more than 500 sales transactions during his career.

Kidder Mathews has selected Derik Benson as senior vice president in the company’s San Jose office. Benson will be in charge of the sale and leasing of industrial properties.

During his 25 years of activity, Benson has completed more than 500 transactions totaling in excess of 4 million square feet. In addition, he has played a major role in the successful conclusion of more than 250 sale transactions. Last year alone, he concluded 24 sales worth approximately $100 million. According to the Kidder Mathews website, Benson’s list of clients includes Walmart, Xerox, Applied Biosystems, California State Automobile Association and Paramount Digital Entertainment.

Before joining Kidder Mathews, Benson was a managing director with Cushman & Wakefield and partner at precursor BT Commercial, with his track record spanning almost two decades and a half.

He is a member of the Association of Silicon Valley Brokers and holds a bachelor of arts degree in business and economics from University of California, Santa Barbara.
