JMT to Move 600 Baltimore County Employees to Hunt Valley
One of the largest architecture and engineering firms in the Greater Baltimore area is moving its headquarters to Hunt Valley. Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson will relocate and consolidate its operations into a new building, to be built at 40 Wight Avenue.

One of the largest architecture and engineering firms in the Greater Baltimore area is moving its headquarters to Hunt Valley. Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson will relocate and consolidate its operations into a new building to be built at 40 Wight Avenue.
JMT’s current headquarters, at 72 Loveton Circle, in Sparks, is now unable to meet the growing company’s needs. The new building will be larger. It will have five stories and 130,000 square feet of space. JMT will consolidate about 600 Baltimore County employees to the Hunt Valley location. The company has signed a 15-year lease for the new building.
Connecticut-based Greenfield Partners is the project’s developer, with Design Collective as the architect. Construction is expected to start later this year. JMT plans to move into the new facility in early 2017. The cost of the project was not disclosed.
JMT’s new headquarters will be located near the recently announced McCormick & Company, Incorporated campus. Greenfield Partners is developing this project as well. At a cost of about $100 million, it will deliver a six-story, 320,000-square-foot building at 99 Shawan Road. McCormick will move more than 900 employees to the new location.
