Less than a month after announcing the sale of the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Atlanta, JLL announces that the company has arranged the sale of the Westin Atlanta Airport. JLL brokered the sale on behalf of Thayer Lodging Group. The facility was acquired by Columbia Sussex.

Located at 4736 Best Road, the 500-key hotel features three food and beverage outlets, 23,500 square feet of meeting space, fitness center, one indoor and one outdoor swimming pool. The property is adjacent to interstates I-85 and I-285 and is located minutes away from Georgia International Convention Center and the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

The hotel’s location near the busiest airport in the world and premier brand affiliation attracted a number of investors,” said Webster. “Atlanta’s lodging market is thriving, and hotels in the city’s Airport submarket have performed particularly well over the past few years,” JLL’s Managing Director Robert Webster said in a prepared statement.

Webster, Executive Vice President Tim Southard and Vice President John Harper led the transaction team that closed the deal. JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group has completed more than $77.5 billion of hotel and hospitality transactions worldwide.
