Albuquerque, N.M.—A 74-unit, mixed use multifamily community officially opened Aug. 29 with a ceremony attended by Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham and representatives from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas, Wells Fargo and YES Housing, among others.

Developed by YES Housing, The Imperial Building is part of a larger community at 205 Silver Ave., SW., and adds amenities such as a 10,000-square-foot, newly opened grocery store, below-grade parking and a rooftop garden terrace.

“This mixed use building is one of the great catalysts for downtown,” Mayor Richard Berry said in a statement. “The grand opening of the Imperial Building is a testament to the great things that happen when the private and public sectors come together on a project such as this one.”

The project aims to achieve Enterprise Green Communities certification and be certified under ENERGY STAR New Homes.
