Hyatt Seeks Southern Hospitality

The iconic hotel brand has entered downtown Charleston with a new combined name.

Hyatt Hotels enters downtown Charleston with a brand new combined Hyatt Place Charleston/Historic District and Hyatt House Charleston/Historic District. Located at 560 King St., the hotels feature 304 guestrooms and apartment-style suites for travelers seeking an authentic experience.

Hyatt Place Charleston/Historic District and Hyatt House Charleston/Historic District are led by Pedro Perez, general manager, and Rachel Frost, director of sales.

“We are excited to introduce the first combined Hyatt Place and Hyatt House hotels to the Charleston area,” said Perez in a prepared statement. “Our guests can appreciate the contemporary design and spacious layout of our guestrooms – from the separate spaces to sleep and work, including the Cozy Corner at Hyatt Place, to the apartment-style suites with real kitchens at Hyatt House – our guests can choose the space that fits their needs.”

The new Hyatt hotels offer a range of amenities such as 191 spacious guestrooms, 113 apartment-style Kitchen Suites, 8,000 square feet of meeting space, swimming pool and fitness center, 24-hour food offerings, free Wi-Fi, a pet-friendly and smoke-free policy.
