Hyatt Makes First Foray into Bulgarian Hospitality Market
The new 190-key Hyatt Regency Sofia hotel is scheduled to open in 2018.

Sofia, Bulgaria—Hyatt Hotels Corp. is set to open a hotel in the capital of Bulgaria, following an agreement with Terra Tour Service EOOD. This is the company’s first property in the Eastern European state.
Hyatt Regency Sofia will have 190 guest rooms, three restaurants and a rooftop bar offering great views of the city. The property will be a suitable location for business and social events, offering more than 12,900 square feet (1,200 square meters) of flexible meeting and event facilities. The new hotel will also feature a fitness center and spa.
“This is our first project with Hyatt, and with the combination of the strong Hyatt Regency brand experience and the hotel’s excellent facilities, we believe Hyatt Regency Sofia will have a great appeal to those visiting the country,” said Lachezar Todorov, CEO of Terra Tour Service.
The Hyatt Regency Sofia will be located in Vasil Levski Square, in the heart of the city, within walking distance from major sights and attractions like the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Sofia University or National Academy of Arts. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2018.
