Hunt Taps New Sheriff
Hunt Cos. has hired an industry veteran to manage all aspects of the company's real estate equity investment portfolio.

Guy Arnold is in the big leagues now.
Hunt Cos. has brought the former owner and manager of GMA Holdings on board as the new President of Hunt Real Estate.
The 25-year real estate industry veteran will be responsible for managing all aspects of Hunt’s real estate equity investment portfolio, including acquisitions and dispositions of all real assets, according to a news release.
“I was impressed with the fact that Hunt is a family-run company with decades of experience. It has been a leader in the field since its inception,” Arnold told CPE. “That coupled with the fact that the entire team is focused on how Hunt can lead the way in all future endeavors made me excited to work for this company.”
Arnold founded GMA Holdings, which acquires commercial real estate investments throughout Colorado, in 2013. Previously, he served as President of Denver-based Dividend Capital Diversified Property Fund, where he led all functions of the $2.9 billion REIT, including property acquisitions, dispositions, asset manage,ent, finance, reporting, human resources and investor relations.
Arnold has also held the position of managing Director at Cherokee Investment partners and Vice President at Colorado & Sante Fe Land Co.
One of the first things he hopes to tackle in the new position is “working closely with the entire Hunt team to develop strategies that will help continue to grow the company while at the same time focus on new, innovative, initiatives,” he added.
Arnold is a member of a number of boards of directors, including the Meridian Fund Inc ; The Children’s Hospital of Colorado Finance Committee; and Steele Street Bank & Trust, a $550 million Denver community bank that was recently bought by MidFirst Bank.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia, and lives in Denver.
