Sarah Barnat founded a real estate development and brokerage firm a few years ago and closed on its first transaction in May 2017: Holmes Beverly, a $21 million, 67-unit mixed-use multifamily project. She put together a talented team of mostly women and despite a complicated development process that involved city and state agencies, the project closed within 10 months.
