San Francisco—The Hibernia Bank, a Mid-Market historical landmark, recently completed an extensive renovation process conducted by Dolmen Property Group. The local developer is now making the resulting space available for lease, with office and retail space available, as well as event space.

Located at 1 Jones St. in San Francisco’s fast-developing Mid-Market district, The Hibernia Bank building is listed as San Francisco Historic Landmark #130. Designed by architect Albert Pissis, the building offers 40,600 square feet of space in an area that’s best known for being the home of Twitter, Uber and Square.

The building’s basement was operated by the San Francisco Police Department between 1991 and 2000, but other than that, the asset had been vacant for the past three decades when Dolmen acquired it in 2008. A seismic overhaul and preservation process were part of the renovation process, with the marble floors, chandeliers, bank spaces, vaults and sconces being key aesthetic features of the makeover. The facility has already hosted events, with a political rally holding roughly 1,000 being organized at the facility this spring.
