DetroitHealthy Living Medical Supply (HLMS) has announced the relocation of its headquarters from Troy, Mich. to downtown Detroit in the first week of November. The company will occupy 7,000 square feet in the 11th floor of the historic Francis Palms Building on Woodward Avenue, 5,000 square feet less compared to their office in Troy.

“We can do this because we have excess space now in Troy and the design of the new space will be highly optimized,” Matt Montagne, director of Innovations at HLMS, told Commercial Property Executive.

The relocation will allow the company to better serve their customers and expand their business in Michigan and beyond, according to Mike Lewis, CEO of HLMS. Their new headquarters at 2111 Woodward Ave. is within walking distance of several major Michigan health plans including Meridian, Blue Cross Blue Shield, HAP and Aetna.

Initially, 23 out of 31 team members at HLMS will move into the new office. “The design allows for additional head count as our needs evolve. Eight team members will remain back (in Troy) to run our fulfillment center,” Matt Montagne said.

The company is now looking for a warehouse-style space close to 2111 Woodward Ave. for their pharmacy and fulfillment center needs. This next move is scheduled to take place in spring 2017.
