Grant Thornton signed a 26,000-square-foot lease at the MacArthur Court in Newport Beach, Calif. The accounting and consulting firm will relocate from the Irvine area to the 15th and 16th floors of the 16-story property.

Located at 4665-4695 MacArthur Court, next to the John Wayne Airport, the LEED-certified office building sits less than two miles from Interstate 405. Owned and managed by Irvine Co., the asset offers easy access to multiple bus stations, restaurants and hotels, including The Melting Pot, The Duke Hotel Newport Beach and Extended Stay America Orange County. Tenants at MacArthur Court include Regus, Farmers & Merchants Bank and Wings Capital Partners.

Cushman & Wakefield Managing Directors Dan Fisk and Chon Kantikovit negotiated the lease on behalf of the tenant. Earlier this year, Kantikovit also represented the litigation firm Callahan & Blaine in its lease extension at 3 Hutton Centre in Santa Ana, Calif.

“Grant Thornton’s Orange County office exhibited strong growth, resulting in an immediate need for additional space,” Kantikovit said in a prepared statement. “Cushman & Wakefield partnered with Grant Thornton to evaluate potential expansion options within its current office campus, as well as additional locations across Orange County.”
