River Oaks Properties has a new 500,000-square-foot retail, dining and entertainment destination located under construction at Interstate 10 and Paseo del Norte in El Paso, Texas. Dubbed West Towne Marketplace, the shopping center has announced its anchor tenant—Flix Brewhouse, the world’s first run cinema-eatery-microbrewery.

The West Towne location, opening in late 2018 or early 2019, will be one of several facilities Flix Brewhouse intends to open in Texas in 2018 and 2019 as part of the cinema-dining chain’s expansion throughout the southwest. The pedestrian-friendly, outdoor retail center is spread across 63 acres of land.

Flix Brewhouse will encompass about 38,750 square feet and feature nine auditoriums equipped with parabolic screens, state-of-the-industry digital audio and video, as well as Flix’s proprietary luxury seating. The facility will also host special features and events including a Pro-Am homebrew competition, Brewmaster dinners, on-site Beer 101 brewing and tasting seminars, and numerous themed classic film series and interactive experiences.
