First Capital Enlists New CFO

Stephen Johnson, First Capital CFO

Maryland REIT First Capital recently announced the appointment of Stephen Johnson as its new chief financial officer. He will oversee aspects including capital markets, financial reporting, accounting, tax and internal audit for a portfolio that includes land, multifamily and gas station development, hotels and medical offices.

Upon moving to First Capital, Johnson left his position within DRW Holdings LLC, where he served as head of equity volatility trading for the Asia region. Prior to that, he worked as senior portfolio manager for Ronin Capital and Marquette Partners. He also served for more than 11 years as chief financial officer & managing partner for Hun Management LLC and occupied various trading positions within Bear Stearns International between 2001 and 2003.  He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Finance from Michigan State University and the University of Chicago. He also holds Financial Industry Regulation Authority Series 24, 7, and 63 Licenses and is a Chartered Financial Analyst Level II Candidate.
