Finmarc Secures 88 KSF Tenant at Northern Virginia Campus

Vomela Cos. will expand and consolidate its operations in Springfield, Va.

The commercial printing division of Vomela Cos. is relocating and expanding its 22,000-square-foot footprint at 220 Perry Parkway in Gaithersburg, Md., and the company’s 60,000-square-foot operations at 8401 Terminal Road in Springfield, to 8000 Grainger Court, a 750,000-square-foot industrial park in Springfield, Va.

Vomela has signed an 11-year, full-building lease for 88,000 square feet with landlord Finmarc Management Inc. The tenant was represented by Executive Managing Director Wendy Feldman Block and Associate Danielle Ferrari of Savills. Jon Lawrence of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord.

The Class B property sits on 6.6 acres and was completed in 1983. The two-story building includes floorplates averaging 44,300 square feet and offers controlled access and 191 parking spots, with a ratio of 2.9 spaces per 1,000 square feet.

Located at 8000 Grainger Court, the property is part of Virginia 95 Business Park, 16.7 miles from Washington, D.C., and only 1 mile from Interstate 95.

The property is part of an 11-building portfolio acquired by Finmarc in June, when Boston Properties sold the mixed-use business park for $127.5 million. According to CommercialEdge data, the building sold for $10.5 million and is subject to a loan originated by JPMorgan Chase. Last month, a fully leased Mid-Atlantic logistics portfolio along the I-95 corridor was acquired by Ares Management for $368 million.
