Year-over-year, the largest difference for employment was once again in the Farming, Fishing and Forestry occupations, with a rise of 10 percent.

The total number of employed people from April 2016 to April 2017 increased by 1.4 percent or 2,187 people, while the total number of unemployed people decreased by 11.6 percent or 858 people. Year-over-year, the largest difference for employment was once again in the Farming, Fishing and Forestry occupations, with a rise of 10 percent. Following that, the next increases were for Installation, Maintenance and Repair at 6.7 percent and Natural Resources, Construction and Maintenance at 3.1 percent. For unemployment, the most significant decrease was in the Installation, Maintenance and Repair occupations with 36.1 percent, followed by Office and Administrative Support (-26.3 percent) and Sales and Office (-23.7 percent). The overall unemployment rate has dropped by 12.8 percent year-over-year.
