TTD Houston Realty LLC, a subsidiary of online furniture importer and distributor East-West Furniture, has acquired a two-building distribution facility in Houston totaling 172,848 square feet. The company plans to relocate its headquarters from New England.

Situated at 175 Southbelt Industrial Drive, on an 8-acre site, the steel-frame buildings were constructed in 2005. Property features include insulated ceilings, skylights, fire sprinklers, dock levelers, dock bumpers and loading doors, as well as 32 parking spaces. The Harris County assessor’s office most recently evaluated the asset at roughly $3.3 million.

Clay Pritchett, a partner with NAI Partners, represented the buyer. According to Yardi Matrix, Dodson Global sold the asset. Oxford Partners Associates Derek Russell and Larry Gray worked on behalf of the seller in the transaction.

“As an e-commerce-driven online furniture distribution company, East-West Furniture sought to relocate from New England to Houston to take advantage of the area’s expanding Amazon presence and our overall business climate,” said Pritchett in a prepared statement.

The property offers easy access to Sam Houston Tollway and South Freeway. Other companies in the area include Fluid Sealing Products, Bigge Crane & Rigging, Custom Air Products & Services and M&M Lumber.
