Development plans in the Carolinas include eight new restaurants in Raleigh planned by franchise group Kings Point Ventures LLC, led by Alex Smigelski, Tom Carpenter and Tom Hughes. Franchisees Donna and Vince Machi plan one restaurant in Charlotte for the following year, whereas franchise group Coastal Franchising, led by George Ross, plan four new Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Charleston.

“Our enthusiastic and dedicated franchisees contribute to our brand’s growth, which has helped solidify our position as one of the fastest growing brands by unit count in the quick-service restaurant industry,” said Grant Benson, CFE, vice president of global franchising and business development, Dunkin’ Brands. “We are thrilled that these existing franchisees haven chosen to expand in the Carolinas, and know these new restaurants will satisfy a growing consumer demand in the local communities they serve.”

Throughout the Carolinas, Dunkin’ Donuts has more than 370 restaurants and plans to continue recruiting franchisees in Greensboro and Wilmington.
