Dunkin’ Donuts Expands in the Carolinas

Dunkin' Donuts brings more of its baked goods to the Carolinas as 13 new restaurants are planned for development.

Dunkin’ Donuts recently announced expansion plans for North and South Carolina. In the next several years, 13 new restaurants are planned for development as the brand remains on track for the development of 410–440 net new Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in the U.S. in 2015.

Development plans in the Carolinas include eight new restaurants in Raleigh planned by franchise group Kings Point Ventures LLC, led by Alex Smigelski, Tom Carpenter and Tom Hughes. Franchisees Donna and Vince Machi plan one restaurant in Charlotte for the following year, whereas franchise group Coastal Franchising, led by George Ross, plan four new Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Charleston.

Throughout the Carolinas, Dunkin’ Donuts has more than 370 restaurants and plans to continue recruiting franchisees in Greensboro and Wilmington.
