Baton Rouge—Dantin Bruce Development has acquired two parcels totaling 15 acres in the Baton Rouge Health District for a price tag of $3.7 million, according to the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report. The land was sold by the Messina family, who has owned the undeveloped property for years. Dantin Bruce plans to develop retail, residential and office space on the newly acquired lot.
The property, located between Interstate 10 and Picardy Avenue, is adjacent to Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital, which is currently under construction. The company’s plan to develop a build-to-suit, mixed-use project will be favored by the site’s location next to the upcoming 350,000-square-foot health care facility.
As reported by the The Advocate, Bill JeanSonne with Saurage Rotenberg Commercial Real Estate represented the sellers in the transaction. The property was purchased through DB Midway LLC, a company owned by Dantin Bruce, which represented themselves in the transaction.
