Dalfen America Corp. acquired Chesapeake Logistics Center, a 190,000-square-foot industrial building located in Curtis Bay, Md.

Located on a 20.1-acre site at 1301 Chesapeake Ave., five miles from downtown Baltimore, the class A asset benefits from close proximity to the CSX intermodal facility and the Fairfield Terminal of Baltimore Port, which is the largest import and export terminal of automobiles in the U.S.

Chesapeake Logistics Center was built in 2004 and features 30’ clear ceiling heights, 50’ by 50’ column spacing, ESFR sprinkler system, fluorescent lighting, trailer storage, secured parking and truck court, dock-high loading doors and drive-in doors.

The new owner plans to upgrade the facility by adding additional employee parking spots alongside the building and revamping the vacant space.

Dalfen America Corp. focuses on strategically located infill and last-mile-oriented warehouses, logistics centers, multi-tenant business parks and light industrial facilities, having millions of square feet of premier commercial properties throughout the U. S. and Canada.

Due to its proximity to I-95, I-695, the port of Baltimore and the CSX intermodal, this property is ideal for distribution and fulfillment to the 9.3 million residents in the Baltimore-Washington Corridor as well as for companies who need to move products quickly across the U.S.,” said Sean Dalfen, president of DAC, in a prepared statement. “This acquisition falls into our strategy of buying last-mile industrial properties in key metro locations across the U.S.

The company has also recently acquired a warehouse/distribution center in Dallas, as well as an adjacent 12.2-acre lot. The 420,000-square-foot property was fully leased to Shippers Warehouse Inc. at the time of the transaction.
