CyrusOne to Expand DFW Presence

CyrusOne currently operates two other facilities in the DFW area. Together with the newly planned campus in Allen, the company's footprint will exceed 1.7 million square feet.

CyrusOne Data Center in DallasCyrusOne announced plans for a new data center campus in Allen, Texas. The project will be developed in three phases. Construction on the first data center, of approximately 340,000 square feet, is underway. Upon completion, the entire campus will offer more than 100 megawatts of power.

“The Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex has always been a strong market for CyrusOne, and we continue to see growing demand from customers to scale with us. Allen is a business-friendly community, and its proximity to Dallas makes it an ideal site for our new state-of-the-art data center campus,” said John Gould, executive vice president of global sales at CyrusOne, in a prepared statement.

CyrusOne currently operates two other data centers in the Dallas area, in Carrollton and Lewisville. The Carrollton facility is the largest in the state, at 670,000 square feet, with a 60-megawatt capacity. The Lewisville/North Texas one delivers 26.5 megawatts and is 200,000 square feet in size. Combined with the newly announced campus, the company’s total Texas footprint will exceed 1.7 million square feet.
