CyrusOne Powers Up Carrollton Data Center

Global data center provider CyrusOne announced that it has expanded its 670,000-square-foot data center in Carrollton, Texas.

Global data center provider CyrusOne announced that it has expanded its 670,000-square-foot data center in Carrollton, Texas. The company added almost 60,000 square feet of colocation space and 4.5 megawatts of power capacity.

The Carrollton data center is not only the largest facility of its kind in the state but also one of the most energy efficient. The center also houses the North Texas Emergency Communications Center (NTECC), the infrastructure and the 911 dispatch center for Carrollton, Coppell, Farmers Branch and Addison, Texas.

CyrusOne operates 31 carrier-neutral data center facilities across three continents. The firm has a customer roster of 900 companies, nine of which are Fortune 20 and more than 160 of which are Fortune 1000.

“Our customer base in this key market continues to grow rapidly,” said John Hatem, senior vice president of design and construction for CyrusOne. “Adding more space and power capabilities to our Carrollton facility ensures that we can continue to scale effectively and provide mission-critical infrastructure capabilities to meet our growing customer demand.”
