Crawford Hoying Unveils Urban Columbus Project

Crawford Hoying announced plans for its ten-story, mixed-use project in Dublin, a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. Construction of the 800 North High will begin in the fall of 2017. Co-anchored by a 118-key Moxy Hotel and 45,000 square feet of office space, the Crawford Hoying development is scheduled for completion for the spring of 2019. Moody Nolan is the architect of the project.

Located in the Short North neighborhood, the new hotel will be built at the intersection between High Street and Hubbard Avenue, on the site of the former Haiku sushi restaurant. The building will be a block north of the 11-story Bollinger Tower. The development will feature multiple open terraces, an open-air rooftop bar, Class A office space and a ground floor restaurant that opens to High Street.

Partnering with Marriott, the Moxy Hotel will incorporate a 7,000-square-foot restaurant at the first floor, while the lobby of the hotel will be on the second floor. The Class A office space will be available on the third through fifth floors, while hotel rooms will be on the sixth through ninth floors. An approximately 6,300-square-foot bar will be located on the last floor. The building will feature an exterior of brick and anodized copper, aluminum panels and a bronze anodized aluminum storefront.

“Over the past year we have worked closely with the Italian Village commission. Ultimately we were able to center around a shared vision for this project—to enrich the Short North community through the addition of office users and visitors that will support our local businesses and contribute to the 18-hour vibrancy of the growing neighborhood,” said Crawford Hoying Principal Brent Crawford, in prepared remarks.  

800 North High will be 100 percent valet-only to eliminate potential parking congestion in the Short North. Roughly 143 parking spaces will be available.
