Consulate General of Mexico Relocates to Brickell Financial District

The Consulate General of Mexico will soon join the consulates of Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Dominican Republic, Guatemala and Peru in the Brickell Financial District, after having just signed a lease for three full floors at 1399 SW 1^st Avenue.

The 34,935-square-foot building is conveniently located within the Brickell Financial District, whose culturally diverse business community and status are recognized as a hub for world trade and commerce. The location places the building within walking distance to dozens of retail businesses, restaurant, and high-end hotels, as well as to public transportation systems (The Metromover and Metrorail). The building offers highly visible top building and monument signage, underground garage parking, an on-site bank branch and ATM.

Starting early 2012, the Consulate General of Mexico will occupy approximately 23,000 rentable square feet of space on three full floors of the building, which is located at 1399 SW 1^st Avenue; the lease has been signed for a 10-year period, but no financial details have been disclosed. Owner Chestnut Capital was represented by Danet Linares and David Valdez of Blanca Commercial Real Estate, whereas the new tenant was represented by Andrew Trench of Holly Sime Realty.
