Construction to Resume on Woodland Villas Condo Development

According to Detroit Free Press, construction on Woodland Villas, a half-finished luxury condo development close to downtown Birmingham, will be resumed this spring. The housing project was originally developed by Ron Hughes, who managed to build only three units by 2006 when the high-end condo market started to deteriorate. A fourth condo unit was recently completed by the site’s new owner and developer Lynn Matson, CEO and president of Wixom-based Pro-Motion Technology Group, which acquired the site in November 2010.

The two-story condos provide 3,756 to 5,300 square feet of living space. They are available for sale at prices ranging from $1.69 million to $1.95 million and include an open floor plan, volume ceilings, three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen with top appliances and quartz countertops, crystal chandeliers, a three-car garage and a large stone terrace.

The development located off Maple Road will get four more units by the end of 2012, according to the Detroit Free Press. Two of the units, which are designed as townhomes, will have bedrooms on the second level, while the other two will have master bedrooms on the first floor—a highly demanded feature nowadays, according to realtor Barry Bourgeois, who was quoted by the Detroit Free Press.
