Clarks Americas Debuts New US Corporate Headquarters

Waltham, Mass.—Clarks Americas Inc. has opened its new U.S. corporate headquarters in the historic Polaroid building, a four-story office property in Waltham, Mass.

“As our company continues to grow regionally and globally, we needed to accommodate our expanding teams,” Christopher Scinto, Clarks Americas senior vice president of marketing, told Commercial Property Executive. “Our Newton location served us very well for nearly 18 years, but as our business grew our requirements have changed. We needed a larger more modern space that would foster talent, collaboration, and creativity throughout all of our departments.”

Located at 60 Tower Road, the 120,000-square-foot, single-tenant office building includes amenities such as a roof deck, private outdoor terrace, employee retail store, fitness center, a three-story lobby and more.

Clarks is now the largest tenant at the 1265 Main complex.

According to Scinto, the move is expected to further Clarks’ substantial growth and proven leadership in the footwear industry as the company continues to expand globally and refine operations within the region.

“The Metro Boston area has been our home for over 20 years, and we couldn’t be happier,” Scinto said. “As we looked to move to a new space, we knew we had to stay in the community that we have been a part of for so long. The building itself is a local icon and its character speaks to the spirit of Clarks, and our dedication to craft and innovation.”

The building was built with energy efficient and recycled materials and is LEED Gold certified. Boston Properties developed the property, while Spagnolo Gisness & Associates Inc. and ADD Inc. now with Stantec, designed the building’s exterior and interior, respectively.
