Chambers Street Signs New Lease for 450 KSF near Charleston, SC

Chambers Street Properties has signed a 450,000-square-foot lease at Jedburg Commerce Park, a warehouse/distribution property in Summerville, S.C.

Jedburg Commerce Warehous_Distribution Chambers Street Properties, a net lease industrial and office real estate investment trust, has signed a 450,000-square-foot lease at Jedburg Commerce Park, a warehouse/distribution property in Summerville, S.C.

“The building is one of the larger size properties in the market with an excellent location for tenants that require their operations to be contained in a single building,” Philip Kianka, Chambers Street Properties’ executive vice president & chief operating officer, told Commercial Property Executive. “Primarily, there was a very limited down time between our vacating tenant and the occupation of our new tenant. It reduced our marketing time significantly and we were encouraged by the demand in the market for the quality of the specifications at our building.”

Located at 1124 Newton Way, Jedburg Commerce Park was built in 2007 and acquired by Chambers Street in the same year.

According to Kianka, the Class A building is fully air-conditioned, has excellent lighting specifications and a clear height of 30 feet to name just a few of its attributes.

The property is located adjacent to Interstate 26, which provides excellent access to the major highways for goods to be shipped along the eastern seaboard and is accessible to the Port of Charleston.

Chambers Street owns and operates more than 3.6 million square feet of warehouse/distribution properties in South Carolina, including acquiring 1200 Woods Chapel Road, a 156,000 square foot warehouse/distribution property located near Spartanburg, last month.
