CBRE Long Island Promotes Roy Chipkin to SVP
As senior vice president, Chipkin will continue to represent both landlords and tenants in office space leasing transactions throughout Long Island and other New York City boroughs.
Long Island, N.Y.—CBRE recently announced the promotion of Roy Chipkin to senior vice president of the group’s Long Island office. Previously a first vice president, Chipkin is known in the industry as one of the most active real estate service providers in Long Island. In his new position, Chipkin will represent landlords and tenants in the leasing and subleasing of office space around the Long Island region.
Roy Chipkin has extensive agency expertise. During his time at CBRE, he has represented clients such as Ameriprise, TD Ameritrade, Mount Sinai Hospital, NYU Langone Medical Center, Queens DA, Premier Home Care and the New York State. He has also served as the exclusive leasing agent for more than 1 million square feet of office space for developers in Queens and Long Island, including the LeFrak Org., Cammeby’s, Blumenfeld Development, Wharton Realty and Mindel Associates.

He has earned the respect of his colleagues and the entire industry and deserves the recognition of this well-earned promotion,” said Ellen Rudin, managing director of the firm’s Long Island region, in a prepared statement.
With more than 30 years of experience, Chipkin recently completed several prominent transactions, including Plaza College’s 66,000-square-foot lease at 118-35 Queens Blvd., in Forest Hills, N.Y. He also acted on behalf of Integra in the company’s 40,000-square-foot office lease at The Fountains on Marcus Avenue in Lake Success, N.Y., as well as the 20,000-square-foot lease for NYU Langone Medical Center in Huntington, N.Y.
Prior to joining CBRE, Chipkin served as a leasing agent for Sutton & Towne Inc., where he was responsible for the five-building Triad Office Park in Lake Success. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York in Buffalo, and is currently a board member of the Commercial and Industrial Brokers Society in Long Island.
