Cathay Bank Taps New VP

Jasmyne Shoemaker has 21 years of retail and lending background under her belt. Her previous experience also includes wealth management.

Cathay Bank, a subsidiary of Cathay General Bancorp, has appointed Jasmyne Shoemaker as VP and relationship manager to the company’s Nevada Real Estate Lending Group. In her new role, Shoemaker will focus on outreach to commercial real estate developers and investors in the Las Vegas area. She will also be responsible for acquisition financing, construction lending and other traditional banking solutions.

Shoemaker has 21 years of retail banking and lending experience. Prior to joining Cathay Bank, she served in various banking capacities, including  branch operations manager, senior loan officer and director of capital markets. She also has experience in wealth management, having worked with Bank of Nevada, Nevada State Bank, Merrill Lynch and Wells Fargo Bank.
