Brixton Capital Adds Tenants to Las Vegas Shopping Center

Brixton Capital is revitalizing the tenant mix of one of its retail centers in Las Vegas. The company, which has just paid $4.2 million for the former police station in El Cajon, Calif., has closed two leases at Rainbow Plaza, a 358,632-square-foot shopping center within the Charleston/Rainbow corridor. One of the upcoming tenants is Sprouts Farmers Market, while the other is Del Taco restaurant. ROI Commercial Real Estate represented both the tenants and the landlord in the transaction.

Sprouts Farmers Market will occupy the largest space—approximately 30,000 square feet. The store will replace part of a former JC Penney’s box space. The grocery business will move into its new location once construction finalizes. Del Taco has already started to upgrade its 2,400-square-foot restaurant, revitalizing the corner of South Rainbow Boulevard and Alta Drive. The space has been vacant for almost 10 years following the move-out of a jewelry store.

Rainbow Plaza is located at 861 S. Rainbow Blvd. and has been part of Brixton’s portfolio since January 2016. Its tenant roster includes national retailers such as Albertson’s, Ross Dress for Less, The Home Depot and 24 Hour Fitness. The property is less than 10 miles from downtown Las Vegas.

Director Brian Sorrentino, Vice President Todd Boyer and Executive Vice President Jennifer Ott formed the brokers team that arranged the deal.
