Miami—The $1.05 billion Brickell City Centre mixed-use project in Miami is adding to its upscale tenant roster with the addition of 11 new retailers to its 500,000-square-foot shopping center.

Swire Properties Inc., together with retail co-developers Whitman Family Development and Simon Property Group, recently made a series of announcements revealing more than 70 retailers coming to the massive development upon its opening in November. The latest names to join the project include Hugo Boss, Sephora, Bruno Magli, Baldinini, Boglioli, Carmen Steffens, Lafayette 148, Samsonite, SPARIS, Tommy Bahaman and Violetas/Baccarat.

“We’ve strived to make a positive, long-term impact in all aspects of BCC’s retail center,” Debora Overholt, vice president of retail at Swire Properties, said in prepared remarks. “Not only are we bringing a mix of both beloved and new brands to an under-served market in Miami, but the shopping center will be creating thousands of jobs for our local community.”

The retail portion of Brickell City Centre is set to open in November, while Reach, the first condominium tower opened its doors this April. Rise, the second condo tower, is scheduled for opening in the summer. Three Brickell City Centre, the first of two Class A office towers, opened in February with Akerman Law as the anchor tenant; Two Brickell City Centre is set to open this summer.

“It has been our goal to create a retail center where shoppers have access to a diverse lineup of brands to choose from,” said Courtney Lord, vice president of leasing at Whitman Family Development. “We are very pleased to welcome recognized retail brands such as Sephora to join what we call our first-to-market tenants, which are opening their very first U.S. flagships at Brickell City Centre.”

Saks Fifth Avenue will serve as the development’s anchor tenant and will take over three floors of the shopping center with street-level access. Brickell City Centre will feature two condominium towers, two Class A office towers, a shopping center, the EAST, Miami Hotel and a luxury dine-in Cinemex theater.
