Brenda Gibson Joins the CBRE|Raleigh Brokerage Team

Brenda Gibson is the new senior vice president of the company’s brokerage team.

Raleigh, N.C.CBRE|Raleigh has appointed Brenda Gibson as senior vice president of the firm’s brokerage team. Gibson has extensive experience in the commercial real estate industry and is also a highly involved community member.

Gibson began her career as a marketing professional for Wachovia Bank and BB&T. She became a commercial leasing broker in 1985. Later in 2003, she continued her career by starting an independent commercial real estate brokerage and consulting business. Some of her clients include First Citizens Bank, Regions Bank, Morgan Keegan, Park Sterling Bank and Johnson, Hearn, Vinegar and Gee PLLC.

Gibson currently serves as chair of the WakeMed Health & Hospital Board, and also on their Executive, Finance and Strategic Planning committees. In addition, she serves on the Transitions LifeCare (formerly Hospice of Wake County) Board of Directors and is co-chairing their Power of 10 Campaign.

A native to Raleigh, Gibson has been active throughout the community. She has been a fund-raiser for the Easter Seal Society of North Carolina, the Triangle United Way, the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, and the Occoneechee Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Some of her major accolades include: the 2003 Triangle Business Journal’s Women in Business award; the 2001 Dr. William M. Dunlap award in recognition of her service and dedication to the Hospice Mission by Hospice of Wake County; and her recent achievement of the Chief’s Citation Award from the City of Raleigh Police Department for outstanding service in raising money to build the Fallen Officer’s Memorial in downtown Raleigh.
