Luxury beauty and spa chain Bluemercury is getting ready to open its 11th store in Chicago as the company has leased 1,800 square feet within the 900 West mixed-use development. The new store, located at the corner of Sangamon and Randolph streets, is expected to open in the summer of 2018.

Although today we have more than 170 stores nationwide, Chicago will forever be part of our foundation since we opened two of the company’s first 10 stores here. The West Loop was an obvious next choice for us,” said Barry Beck, co-founder & COO, in a prepared statement.

Tucker Development Corp. delivered 900 West in 2017, after renovating the 10 historic low-rise buildings. The development offers approximately 80,000 square feet of retail space, half of it being available on the ground level and the other half on the first floor.

Bluemercury will be joining Lululemon and Bonci Pizza at the location, being one of the several recently-arrived retailers in the Fulton Market District. The neighborhood has also been attracting major employers such as Google and McDonald’s, the latter anticipating to open its international headquarters in the spring.
