Beacon Partners is further expanding its Charlotte-area industrial footprint. The company is building a 525,000-square-foot cross-dock facility for Campbell Soup Co., a snack food firm. Located in Pineville, N.C., the warehouse will be part of the new Pineville Distribution Park, just off Industrial Drive.
According to Mecklenburg County records, Beacon Partners purchased the 33-acre site for roughly $3.2 million this summer. The build-to-suit warehouse will serve as a distribution center and will feature 36-foot clear height ceilings and 120 trailer parking spaces.
Construction is underway, with completion slated for the fourth quarter of 2019. General contractor InterCon Building Corp., Merriman Schmitt Architects and civil engineer Orsborn Engineering Group are also part of the team involved in the project.
This year, Campbell Soup completed its acquisition of Snyder’s-Lance Inc. The upcoming distribution center is right next to Snyder’s-Lance existing manufacturing plants. Cushman and Wakefield’s Mike Kemmet represented Snyder’s-Lance, while Bailey Patrick and Bailey Patrick Jr. of MPV Properties—the company developing the remainder of Pineville Distribution Park—worked on behalf of the landowner.
