The strong industrial market in the Baltimore-Washington Corridor region has registered another sale. Blue Ocean Realty is the latest company to add its name to the list of industrial buyers in the area.

The state of Maryland is now home to another neonatal intensive care unit. On June 23, the University of Maryland Children’s Hospital (UMCH) and the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics unveiled the new Drs. Rouben and Violet Jiji Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. It is one of only two NICUs with a level IV designation, the highest level of care available for critically-ill newborns, in the state.

The former Locust House Apartments, an apartment community which serves seniors and adults with disabilities in the city of Westminster, is once again back in business. But now it has a new face and a new name.

The tallest building in Baltimore is about to get a new owner. The Transamerica Tower, one of downtown’s most prominent skyscrapers, was placed on the market at the start of the year. Now, it seems to have found a buyer.

Westmount Realty Capital has entered the Baltimore Washington Corridor industrial market. The Dallas-based commercial real estate investment, development and management company has recently purchased a three-building industrial portfolio in the region.

Zahlco Development is keeping busy in Baltimore. According to recent media reports, the Pikesville-based company is getting ready to soon start work on two apartment construction and renovation projects in the city.

Developers are planning a new office building in South Baltimore. It will be part of the $275 million Stadium Square project.

Hotel Indigo Baltimore – Mt. Vernon InterContinental Hotels Group is expanding in Baltimore. The UK-based company has recently announced the opening of its first property under the Hotel Indigo brand in the state of Maryland.
