Avison Young has expanded its Florida Capital Markets Group with the establishment of its global Valuation & Advisory Services platform and the addition of Chris Peckholdt as director of the service line.

In his new role, Peckholdt will oversee portfolio management, partnerships and resolution, development consulting and litigation support throughout Florida as part of the Capital Markets Group led by Michael Fay, principal & managing director of the firm’s Miami operations.

Vast industry background

Peckholdt brings more than a decade of real estate valuation and consulting experience to the position. As part of his extensive background, he has appraised a variety of income-producing properties, as well as prepared appraisals and market studies for multiple purposes including institutional portfolio valuation and arbitration. Furthermore, Peckholdt has acquired experience in estate planning, income tax, litigation, lease negotiation and various corporate planning purposes.

“Client needs and market demand drive the addition of specialized services. With experts in Florida spanning all property types including land, office, retail, industrial, and multifamily, we are pleased to formally add Valuation & Advisory Services to our breadth of core offerings,” Fay said in a prepared statement.

Peckholdt received a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business. He is also an MAI, AI-GRS designated member of the Appraisal Institute.
