Bell Partners Acquires Lancaster, White Buffalo Community in Fort Worth
Bell Partners Inc., the nation’s 7th largest apartment renovator and 12th largest apartment operator, recently announced that it closed on behalf of its investors on Lancaster and White Buffalo, a 316-unit community in Fort Worth. According to the company’s official statement, the community will be managed by them and it will be renamed as Bell Lancaster.
Hines Plans Early 2015 Construction Start For Chandler Mixed-Use Project
Hines recently closed on a 25.5-acre site at the northwest corner of the Loop 101 and Loop 202 Interchange and in the vicinity of the Chandler Fashion Center. The company has been planning to develop there a project called Chandler Viridian for more than two years.
Old Dominion Prepares for Grand Opening of Whitehaven Service Center
Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is celebrating as it is preparing for the opening of their new Whitehaven service center on October 20th. The 267-door facility will provide direct service to western Tennessee – Memphis, Millington, Bartlett and Somerville – to east Arkansas – West Memphis, Wynne and Forrest City – and to northern Mississippi – Southaven, Olive Branch, Byhalia and Greenwood.

Catellus Wins Nod to Develop ASU’s Athletic Facilities District
Arizona State University has enlisted Catellus Development Corporation as master developer for its ASU Athletic Facilities District, a mixed-use, 330-acre development. The district, which is envisioned to be a model for urban neighborhood design and sustainability, will be located at the northeast end of ASU’s Tempe campus, which neighbors the university, downtown Tempe and major collegiate and amateur sports venues.
266 Developer Moving Forward with Mixed-Use Project for Downtown Memphis
Downtown Memphis might become home to a new, mixed-use project at the southeast corner of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and South Front Street. Operating under an entity called 266 Developer, LLC, Robert Mallory, John Dicken and Vince Smith have just made a request for a 10-year payment in-lieu-of-tax incentive to the Center City Revenue Finance Corp (CCRFC) for the development of a 145-unit residential complex.
